Even in high school, Charlie made waves campaigning against a lunch price hike and supporting local conservative candidates; foreshadowing a life devoted to activism .
Guided by faith, Charlie eventually embraced Christianity and rooted his political vision in his love for God. His journey from secular ambition to Christian nationalist conviction led him to firmly believe that America’s promise depends on its spiritual foundations. One of his most passionate assertions was: “You cannot have liberty if you do not have a Christian population”—a statement that underscores how tightly he wove faith into his patriotism.
Founding Turning Point USA: A Faith-Driven Mission
At just 18, Charlie,, encouraged by his mentor Bill Montgomery co-founded Turning Point USA (TPUSA) in 2012. Within months, he secured crucial support from major conservative financiers like Foster Friess, transforming TPUSA into the dominant campus conservative force across high schools and universities nationwide .
Under his leadership, TPUSA grew into a powerhouse, launching bold initiatives like the Professor Watchlist and School Board Watchlist, which aimed to hold academic institutions accountable to truth, open dialogue, and American ideals .
Championing Free Speech & Youth Leadership
Charlie’s ethos centered on empowering young Americans to speak freely, think critically, and stand boldly for truth. TPUSA events, brimming with energy, creative messaging, and unapologetic conservatism, became a crucible for new leaders and warriors of free speech .
He was a relentless advocate for keeping conservative voices alive on once-quiet liberal campuses. Through in-person debates, social media engagement, and podcasts like The Charlie Kirk Show, he built a movement, and a media presence that inspired millions .
Integrating Faith, Family, and Service
Faith was the bedrock of Charlie's mission. In addition to TPUSA, he spearheaded Turning Point Faith, mobilizing Christians to actively live and lead according to biblical principles, within churches, schools, government, media, and beyond.
He wasn’t simply a public figure, he was a devoted husband to Erika, a loving father of two, and a believer who spoke openly about traditional family values and spiritual purpose in leadership .
A Legacy of Devotion, Drive, and Duty
Charlie Kirk’s life exemplified an unwavering commitment to truth, freedom, and faith. Through TPUSA, Turning Point Action, Turning Point Faith, and countless events, he galvanized tens of thousands of young Americans to engage in politics with boldness and conviction.
President Trump, among others, praised him for capturing the heart of American youth and leading with integrity. His sudden passing on September 10, 2025, at age 31, after being shot during a campus event left the nation, and especially conservative patriots, in mourning, but with renewed resolve to fulfill Charlies mission.

In the wake of his tragic death, the movement Charlie birthed remains vibrant. His followers and fellow patriots continue to fight for free speech, faith-based engagement, and the preservation of American ideals.
